Founder
Jake Gallardo is the founder of Students Initiative for Global Competitiveness. He is an honors student from the Philippines majoring in International Studies.
Our founder loves to travel. He has been to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. While studying here in the United States, Jake attended various conferences in Chicago, New York, New Orleans, New Haven, Connecticut, and Indianapolis.
In summer 2008, Jake did his internship at Mercy Corps in Portland, Oregon. He took time to visit Seattle, San Francisco, and Lake Tahoe. For Jake, traveling is a learning opportunity to meet people and learn their culture. He says, "Traveling allows me to taste, hear, feel, see, and touch different cultures, people, and places."
